November 2025 

1. Free Tournament Offer

• Free Texas Hold'em hyper-turbo tournament every Thur, Fri, Sat at 8pm; any and all student players can enter for free (no money required)

• All players will be given 25 starting chips (five red chips)

• Each player can rebuy only one time for $5 (optional); the rebuy gets you 25 chips

• There are no other add-ons

• Tournament cannot start until at least 5 players are present - dealer can play but dealer is not eligible for the Grand Prize nor can they be counted toward the 5 players 

• Dealer instructor may cancel the tournament at any time or for any reason

• Play starts at 8pm (or when there are 5 players) and unlimited new participants can be added until the tournament is three handed;  except if a player(s) busts and this creates the final three, the busted player(s) may still re-buy if they have not done so already 

• Otherwise, one time re-buys not allowed once there are only three players left 

• Blinds go up every 5 minutes and start at 5/10, then move up to 10/20, then 20/40, then 40/40 - doubling effectively every 5 minutes

• 1st place earns a chance at winning $1, $5, $10, $20, or $50

• A wallet purse with each dollar amount listed above will be set out for the 1st place winner to pick from 

• 1st place also wins 3 points, 2nd place wins 2 points, and 3rd place wins 1 point on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

• The first person to get to 25 points will win a grand prize of $500 

• No FBX Poker School teachers (including the dealer) can win the Free Points Tournament Grand Prize of $500 - they must forfeit the prize to the next eligible winner

• $500 grand prize may or may not be awarded in September;  contest may go into October, November, or beyond - until at least one person earns 25 points

• Once the $500 prize has been won, the Daily Free Tournament will not be worth points until the start of the following month (example: someone earns 25 points on October 14, 2025 and wins the $500 - the rest of October there will be no points awarded - points will be reset and awarded again starting November 1, 2025)

• If more than one person reaches 25 points (or more) at the same time or otherwise ties, all players who get to 25 points on the same night will split the $500 grand prize evenly; it does not matter if someone has more points than person (e.g. 26 vs 28), just as long as each person has reached at least 25 points (both 26 and 28 point earners win and split)

• All  money wins, including the $500 grand prize, must be played and practiced with for a minimum of 30 minutes at the same night social game

• FBX Poker School has adapted Mohegan Sun Poker Room Poker Rules and will closely follow those posted rules

• Any dispute will be decided by the FBX Poker School Tournament Director Nate H. unless said person is in a hand; in that case, disputes will be decided by FBX Poker School Assistant Director Tony C.

2. Special Offer A

• Starting in November 2025, at the top of each hour on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, FBX Poker School will have a $10 "Bomb Pot"

• The "Bomb Pot", starting at 9pm,  will alternate each hour, with the first hour being a "safety" bomb pot and the next hour being a "no safety" bomb pot

• Bomb pots are limited to one per hour

•  Safety bomb pots will be played at the top of the hour, every other hour

• No Safety bomb pots will be played at the top of the hour, every other hour

• Schedule will look like this: 9pm: "safety" - 10pm: "no safety" - 11pm: "safety" etc. 

• Every person present and playing in the social game by 9pm will be eligible to be bought in by FBX Poker School for EVERY "safety" bomb pot each Friday night at 9pm 

• Person must be present and have played the previous hand (if there was one) before the "safety" bomb pot to be eligible for the free "safety" bomb pot buy-in 

• Limit one $10 buy-in per person eligible per hand

• If the social / practice game has not started by 9pm, there will be no free bomb pot - social game must have started by 9pm for anyone to be eligible for the free "safety" bomb pot

3. Special Offer B

• The Thursday before Thanksgiving (November 20, 2025) starting at 10:30pm and ending at 12:30am - FBX Poker School will throw a $25 grocery store gift card in one "splash pot" each hour for that person to buy a Thanksgiving turkey or other food of their choice

• "Splash pot" will be done a total of three times November 20, 2025 starting at 10:30pm, then 11:30pm, and finally 12:30am

• The winner of each "splash pot" will get a free turkey or Thanksgiving food of their choice with the $25 Gift Card

4. Special Offer C

• FBX Poker School will be closed Thanksgiving and Black Friday (Thursday November 27, 2025 and Friday November 28, 2025) but will have a special "Friendsgiving Celebration" on Saturday November 29, 2025

• "Friendsgiving Celebration" 8pm Saturday November 29, 2025 will include a potluck, High Hand Raffle Prizes, and special drinks

• All players who bring any entre, side, desert, or other dish to share will get unlimited access to a variety of specialty drinks, including egg nogg, spiked hot beverages, and cranberry, pear, or apple cider mimosas

5. High Hand Offer

• Every student from November 1st to November 30th that gets a full house or better is eligible to win gift cards, cash, and other prizes

• Student MUST text their NAME and a PHOTO of their high hand to (252) 508-9114 within 10 minutes of getting their full house or better

• FBX Poker School dealers will confirm all high-hands texted to (252) 508-9114

• In addition, the "worst high hand" each night (Thursday through Saturday) in November will also win $25 in chips to be played at the next game night  (Thursday through Saturday)

• "Worst high hand" must still be a full house or better

• "Worst high hand"  will be determined from all high hands submitted to (252) 508-9114  from start of the social / practice game until the end of the social / practice game each night Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (Texas Hold'em nights only)

• "Worst high hand" winner MUST be present and playing the next game night by 10pm to claim their $25 in practice chips

•  If not present by 10pm the very next Texas Hold'em game night, $25 prize money is forfeited  (for example: won "worst high hand" on Saturday, must play the following Thursday by 10pm)

• Best high hand each week (Thursday through Saturday) in November wins a Thanksgiving Basket filled with various goodies including maybe candles, baked goods, bottles of wine, specialty chocolate, cash envelope, and / or restaurant gift cards 

• Best high hand will be determined from all high hands submitted to (252) 508-9114  from Thursday through Saturday in that single play week starting November 6, 2025 and ending November 22, 2025 

• Total of three Thanksgiving Baskets to be awarded, including the week of November 6th, the week of November 13th, and the week of November 20th 

• Each basket will be awarded the following week, whichever day the winner comes in; each basket awarded will be different but is guaranteed to have a value of $100 to $200 dollars

• Winner must return the following week to cliam prize basket otherwise it is forfeited 

• All high hands from November that were texted to the FBX Poker School phone number are entered into a raffle for the "Friendsgiving Celebration" 8pm Saturday November 29, 2025 

• "Friendsgiving Celebration" will include a potluck, High Hand Raffle Prizes, and special drinks

• Must be present and playing by 11pm on Saturday November 29, 2025 for High Hand raffle eligibility 

• No more high hands prizes will be awarded after November 29, 2025

6. Ladies Night Offer

• Thursday November 6th will be "Ladies Night"

• Free lessons will be offered at 7pm to all ladies who RSVP by text to (252) 508-9114 at least 24 hours in advance

• All ladies present at or around 8pm and who text the FBX Poker School phone number (252-508-9114) will be eligible to participate in the Free Points Tournament

• All ladies who participate in the Free Points Tournament and who texted the FBX Poker School phone number will get their one free re-buy paid for by FBX Poker School

• All ladies present and playing during the social game and who texted the FBX Poker School phone number will be receive a glass of wine and/or chocolate (as supplies allow) 

• The first woman who gets pocket Queens will get an extra $25, regardless of whether or not they win or lose the hand; must text a photo of the pocket queens to the FBX Poker School phone number after the hand has concluded

7. Military Veterans Appreciation Night Offer

• Saturday November 8, 2025  will be "Military Veterans Appreciation Night"

• Free lessons will be offered at 7pm to all military (retired or active) who RSVP by text to (252) 508-9114 at least 24 hours in advance

• The first military person  (retired or active) who gets pocket KK's will get an extra $25, regardless of whether or not they win or ose the hand; must text a photo of the pocket queens to the FBX Poker School phone number after the hand has concluded

• The first four brand new (never played) military persons (retired or active) to play the tournament and stay for the social game get $25 in chips to practice on November 8, 2025

8. Newcomers Welcome Night Offer

• Friday November 21, 2025 will be "Newcomers Welcome Night"

• Free lessons will be offered at 7pm to all brand new (never played) persons who RSVP by text to (252) 508-9114 at least 24 hours in advance

• The first four newcomers (never played) who play in the practice game AND who text the (252) 508-9114 will get $25  in chips to play in the practice game

• Current players who bring a brand new player (never played) and AND who text the (252) 508-9114 will get $25  in chips to play in the practice game

October 2025

1. High Hand Offer

• Every student from October 1st to October 25th  that gets a full house or better is invited to a special dinner at Soba Moldovan Restaurant at 6pm on Tuesday October 28, 2025

• Student MUST text their name and hand to (252) 508-9114 within 10 minutes of getting their full house or better

• FBX Poker School dealers will confirm all high-hands texted to (252) 508-9114

• Student MUST also pay a $5 deposit within 24 hours for the dinner if they wish to attend; all deposit money will be returned to students who are present at 6pm on Tuesday October 28, 2025 but no deposit money will be returned for cancelations or for 'no shows'. 

• Only one dinner invitation can be earned per person and dinner invitations are not transferable

• In addition to dinner, the highest hand in the month of October texted to (252) 508-9114 and confirmed by dealers will win $500

• The $500 highest hand winner will be announced at the Soba dinner Tuesday October 28, 2025

• Winner does not need to be present at Soba to win; $500 will be awarded and but must be played for 30 minutes on any game day of winners choosing in the first week of November (any game day before November 9, 2025)

•  If $500 winner does not claim prize before November 9, 2025, no prize money will be awarded to anyone

• In the event of a tie high hand, the $500 will be split equally among the high hand holders

2. Special Offers

• Thursday October 2, 2025  will be "Ladies Night"; besides wine and chocolate for all the women present, the first lady who gets pocket Queens will get an extra $50, regardless of whether or not they win or lose the hand

• Saturday October 11, 2025  will be "Military Appreciation Night"; the first military person who gets pocket KK's will get an extra $50, regardless of whether or not they win or lose the hand

• The first three brand new (never played) military persons to play the tournament and stay for the social game get $50 in chips to practice on October 11, 2025

•  Friday October 24, 2025 will be "Newcomers Welcome Night"; the first three newcomers present at the free points tournament AND who also stay for the practice game will get $50  in chips to play in the practice game

• Everyone who is present at 12 midnight every Thur, Friday, and Satuday in October will have one chance to win $50 by guessing the number of candies in a candy jar

• One guess per person present and playing at the table at 12 midnight every Thur, Friday, and Saturday in October

• Guessing will start in the one seat and continue to the two seat, three seat, etc. until someone gets the exact amount; if no one gets the exact amount, the game continues the next day

• If no one gets the exact amount by the end of October, no prize will be awarded

• FBX Poker School will host a Halloween Party with free poker lessons, good food, spooky drinks, prizes, music, and a costume contest on Friday October 31, 2025 starting at 7pm

• Best costume will win a cash prize - 1st $50, 2nd $25, 3rd $10

• Costumes will be judged at 8pm

• On Halloween, every practice game hand between 9pm and 11:45pm will have a splash pot of "spooky cash"

• Spooky cash can be used to bid on prizes in the  'silent auction' held Oct 31st from 10pm until 11:59pm - last bids at 11:59pm, winners declared at 12am. 

• "Spooky Cash" can be shared, traded, given away, sold, or otherwise transferred from one student to another without consequence 

• "Spooky Cash" is only valid for bidding on 'silent auction' items; there is no other value for "Spooky Cash"

•  FBX Poker School is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or traded "Spooky Cash"
